Intern for Steve Jobs
I wish to intern for Steve Jobs. Not only will I learn a lot, get to know an awesome business person, and possibly make a lot of money, but also I will show people that the crazy things they sometimes think of doing, are possible.

Not to Fall Into “Teen Thinking”
I've noticed that most teens fall into what I call "teen thinking" You probably know what I mean. Like rebelling against your parents, thinking you know everything and saying all kinds of stuff you don't mean. This is because teens want more "independence" but they're not ready to take on the responsibility that comes with it. So they get all confused because they think they're ready to take care of themselves. So they end up doing lots of crazy stuff they regret. I remember my mom telling me that this would probably happen to me eventually. My immediate response was, "I'm not going to be like that." Neither do I wish to for that matter. So my resolution is to be one of the few people who don't do that. Of course this will take a lot of stepping back from myself and keeping myself in check. I know that I do and will mess up, but hopefully once turn twenty I'll be able to look back and not have as many regrets as most.

To Watch 500 Horror Movies This Year
I have always been a fan of horror movies, making a majority of my reports in school on horror movies. I have spent all this time, trying since I've joined, to find a resolution that I would like to do. I can't believe it took me this long, but it's a resolution that I am aiming for.

Will It Go Round in Circles…
So, I was sold on this idea Saturday by my friend Micah, who is an evangelist in the extreme. Since then I've been trying to think of something, to steal the word, audacious to present to others and myself; to challenge and change myself and hopefully those around me. I thought of several things that will help me in my circular world, and so I share them with you now. Thing One. I'm going to start riding my bike. Everywhere. Decatur is a smallish town, and I don't go anywhere (on a daily basis) that's more than five miles from my house. It is ridiculous for me to drive - a foolish squandering of my resources and the environment's. I'm a big talker about "green consciousness" and it's time I put my money where my mouth is. So that's part one - greening up my act. I figure the easiest thing to do is to set up some stair steps to get to all bike, all the time, so I'll get the old Schwinn to a repair shop, get it road worthy with lights and new tires (the old ones are original - back to '88 - yikes). Then it's one day at a time. And maybe I'll reward myself with a basket...or handlebar streamers... Thing Two. I want to learn to belly dance. Those who know me are probably mocking me right now, and that's fine. But I've been catching the segments on Fit TV (no, I don't actually watch it, but it's mixed with with the Discovery/TLC channels, so I'm bound to hit it occasionally) and I find it fascinating. One of the things that I am worst at as a performer is isolating muscle groups, which is the whole idea behind the practice, so it would help me there. And it's overtly sexy. Who am I to argue with that? And there it is. There are many other things I could add to the list - I too would like to have tea, Bubble or otherwise, with President Obama - but the idea of these two makes me very happy. So here I go 'round in circles - I'm gonna let the music move me 'round.

Write a best-selling book/appear on Oprah
The world, specifically the Christian world, is so bound up in conversion mentalities that it often forgets to have a "contributing" mentality. I dream of setting people free to give... of themselves, from their inner abundance and walk with God.

To get into medical school and become a cardiologist
I have never been the smart kid or most accomplished. I had an ex boyfriend have open heart surgery at the age of 25 and i started looking into respitory care, I work at a hospital. Everyone told me to just become an RN or LPN in respitory care and I started to give in to them. Then after doing careful research of mf myself I realized if I became just a nurse, which is a great career dont get me wrong, but for me it is just settling, and I will never settle for less than the best.

An Introduction, New Resolutions, and Updates… a month and a half in
Hello :) I am Anna and new to the site. Right now I live in Nashville (new to the area), and I'm a stay at home mom to my baby who is 7 months old. I recently got married (New Years Eve), and just trying to get involved and meet new people!
Even though we're halfway through February (wow time flies!) I'll post what my New Years Resolutions were... though I've already failed miserably at a couple.
Number One-Blog/Journal at least once a week. I want to write here at least once a week. I think I'll start something private too because writing has always been therapeutic for me, but I have yet to begin.
UPDATE: I'm doing it (and actually writing two now)! Success :). I am new to the blogging world and just loving it. For anyone who is curious, my blogs can be found at annakauz.blogspot.com and ourvoyagetofinancialfreedom.blogspot.com
Number Two-Brush my teeth well. I know it sounds silly, but I have fallen into the habit of brushing my teeth once a day for about 30 seconds. I've decided I'm going to actually spend the time, twice a day, to brush them for about 2 minutes. Who knows, maybe next year I'll start flossing!
UPDATE: Well I'm brushing well at least once a day (gross I know), and about every other day I am in the morning. I need to make a pretty sign and put it on the mirror or something. With nowhere to go in the mornings (like school, work, etc.), I just forget!
Number Three-Exercise at least 3 times a week. I got a Wii Fit for Christmas (YAY!) and I'm hoping to use it for at least 1/2 hour three times a week. I really need to work off this baby fat, and sitting around, doing nothing isn't helping.
UPDATE: Of course, I failed! I actually did really well, but couldn't stand being weighed every day. Then I got sick, and quit for a week, and never started again. With the nice weather last weekend, I walked for a couple of days with the baby, but that trail hasn't seen me since!
Number Four-PORTION SIZES! Phil and I eat pretty well, but we eat WAY WAY WAY to much! So, I've started cooking for two, or if I do cook more (for leftovers), I make sure we have leftovers. We kind of started this one before the New Year too, but not seriously. I mean we had a wedding and all with a buffet I wanted to enjoy! I've been doing a little reading on the subject and definitely need to do more. I think I'm going to invest in a couple healthy eating cookbooks.
UPDATE: We've been doing really well! I just dish out our food so that you get what you get! I haven't done any reading yet... I think I'll add it to the list for my next library trip.
I've also added one more resolution... I guess you could call it that. We're going to be DEBT FREE! We have started Dave Ramsey's program, took his class (FPU) in the fall, and are working on our debt snowball! I am blogging about the experience at ourvoyagetofinancialfreedom.blogspot.com. I don't think this is really one we can fail at... we've gotten rid of credit cards and aren't getting any more debt, so I'm very hopeful and optimistic!

Une Grimpeuse Extraordinaire
My resolutions were to run a marathon and rediscover my love of climbing. It has morphed into: run a half marathon in May, a full marathon in October, climb as much as possible, and remain joyfully single. Yeah I know, where did that last one come from? I am documenting it all here.

Write and record 14 songs in 28 days
I want to write and record 14 songs in the 28 days of February. I attempted it before, several years ago, and did not complete it. But I did end up with a great song, that eventually made it into our album as "Anger". This time I want to finish the job.

Visit 5 new National Parks
In my 23 years of life I have been lucky enough to visit approximately 16 different National Parks. They include such well-known ones as Yellowstone, Grand Teton, and Arches National Parks. I would like to visit more of America\'s natural and historic beauties, so I have resolved to visit 5 new National Parks this year. As I am new to the Southeast, I have a fresh canvas to begin on. My first destination is to be The Great Smoky Mountains.

You find a building with a big blank wall. You put a projector on the top of your car, project a movie, and everybody drives up and watches. The sound is broadcast over FM radio. http://mobmov.org/
